August “Gus” Beam was born and raised in Santa Rosa, California, the son of two trial lawyers. He attended and graduated from California State University of Chico in 2012 with a B.A. in Political Science, Legal Studies, and a minor in History. He thereafter attended the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he graduated with distinction in 2015. While at McGeorge, Gus received certifications for concentrations in the areas of business and taxation. He excelled in his role with the student bankruptcy clinic where he ultimately became the student director of the program overseeing the department in conjunction with faculty.
After admission to the California State Bar in 2015, Gus began his litigation career in Los Angeles defending civil matters including premises liability allegations, and personal injury claims. Since joining Gurnee Mason Rushford Bonotto & Forestiere LLP in 2019, Gus continues the practice of civil defense handling matters ranging from personal injury to defective product liability claims.
